All About The Jade Roller

The jade roller has been making an appearance across the beautysphere of late, and we wanted to help explicate on it's awesomeness and why you probably want to check it out!
WHAT ARE THEY AND WHERE DID THEY COME FROM?
These handheld “massagers” are usually dual-ended with two jade stone heads ( we've also found them in rose quartz as well as amethyst). They allegedly boost blood circulation, reduce swelling, and help your skincare products penetrate deeper.
Believed to have healing and protective properties, they have been a staple in Chinese skincare routines since the 7th century because they can help to stimulate the lymphatic system, which in turn reduces inflammation and puffiness.
WHY ARE THEY ALL THE RAGE?
In addition to reducing inflammation and puffiness ( read: under eye bags), other benefits include brightening complexions, tightening pores (especially if you put it in the fridge for a few minutes before using), helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines, and increasing blood circulation.
HOW TO USE
To help assist in lymphatic drainage and to rid the body of toxins appropriately, start at the center of the face under the eyes and cheekbones and moving out towards the hairline.
Next, move down towards the jawbone, starting at the center of the chin and moving out towards the bottom of the ear. Finish by rolling down the sides of the neck towards the center of the clavicle.
COMBINE WITH FACE OIL OR SERUM FOR MAX BENEFITS
Not only will the roller glide easier, it can also help your favorite facial oil or serum reach deeper into your skin. I love to use mine with our handmade DEW Serum ( Rose hip seed oil, aloe vera gel, and the following essential oils: geranium frankincense and copaiba).
Regardless of if it actually reduces those puffy eye bags, it feels like a glorious facial massage that definitely reduces tension, especially along the jawline and temples.
Keep calm and jade roller on!
